Gretchen Witt Bakes Cookies for the Ultimate Cause….Helping Fight Kids' Cancer

In February 2007, Gretchen Witt’s life changed forever. That month, she found out that her two-year-old son Liam had neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer. So she began researching his condition to find out what she could do to help him. As she did her research, Gretchen learned that money is desperately needed for pediatric cancer research, so that kids like Liam can benefit from new treatments and possibly even cures. And so, Gretchen began to think about how she could raise money to help this cause that affected her so greatly. Gretchen liked to bake, so she thought “Why not raise money by baking and selling cookies?” Thus her idea, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, was born.  Today, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for pediatric cancer research!

In this video, Gretchen tells how Cookies for Kids’ Cancer came to be.
